Carmen Miranda's Ghost 02 - Dawson's Christian

Around this time of the year, the moons' glows can feel much colder and less comforting than usual. The stars looking down on us, whether we are on a planet or out in the Black, inspire more dread than awe. Just remember, when you are into the wee hours of that seemingly endless third watch as you're between worlds, there are things that can be encountered that are far more dire than Reavers....

Gods ... that was sad, chilling, and beautiful ... all at the same time. Is this song based on something that happened on TV, in SL, or something else?

Welcome to the world of filk songs, Ana ;)

This song, and the other one I put up, are off an album called Carmen Miranda's Ghost; a collection of science fiction/space themed filk songs that was produced and released back in the early 1980's.

Filk songs take the tradition of folk music and bring it to science fiction and fantasy. They could be completely original or, as many folk songs do, take an existing song or melody and put new lyrics to it.
