We are fortunate to see around us the faces of new and returned sisters and brothers, so celebrate! It is a Good Thing to hold in our arms all who have come to our family, including the brightly unique Darla Watanabe, a Companion returned to the happiness of our entire Guild. So many brilliant and resourceful teachers, so many Phoenixes beginning the final fledging as full Companions. There is so much for which we are joyful.

I will be attending as many open houses as possible over the next few weeks, to take the pulse of those in training and to listen to your experiences in the Guild so far. Please take this opportunity to express any questions or concerns you may have directly to me or to Lady zai, my sister Priestess. We are also open to making appointments for these mid-term meetings, so that you may express your thoughts in privacy.

Remember, it is the observations of your teachers of during class and Guild events, and these meetings with the Priestesses, that form a significant basis for our recommendations for further opportunity for your growth in the Guild. If you have any questions about these processes, or the meetings, please ask us, or ask your jiejie and gege about their own experiences.
